Teddy Tedholm returns home

Well so much for that.  In case you missed it, Teddy Tedholm was sent home after his cha-cha performance.

He was such an early favorite and also recieved a lot of television exposure.  That confuses me.  Why push Tedholm onto America if we don’t even get the chance to vote for him?  I guess they’re hoping he returns.

Tedholm now holds the title as the least gangsta contestant on So You Think You Can Dance.  Which personally, I don’t think makes sense since he made it passed the hip hop round and did quite well?

Oh well, hopefully we see him next year.  His facebook last night said “the least ghetto competitoror in sytycd history… I’ll take it.”  At least he doesn’t seem to be offended.

Get your act together SYTYCD.

Breakin’ it down at BDC

Just a few talented breakers in Baltimore…

David Flynn,  “Atomic Goofball”, and Justin Chen breaking it down at Baltimore Dance Center on a typical Tuesday night.

Flynn and Chen are part of the crew Incredible Sushi Kings (what an interesting name, eh?) and ”Atomic Goofball” is part of the future Step Up 3 movie.

Remember the goofball breaker in the yellow suit on So You Think You Can Dance?

Yep, that would be THE Atomic Goofball.

Bootylicious dancing wins award.

Oh Kanye.  How could you be so heartless?240x240

Thank you for telling us that you think Beyonce had the best video of the year.   That is probably why she WON Best Video of the Year. Good call.

Yet, is the dancing in her video all that it is hyped up to be?  I know you’re bootylicious and all Beyonce, but there is more to hip-hop than just shaking.

They’ve even invented all types of new names for those movements.  There is popping, locking, and breaking just to name a few.

But this single lady got a significant award in the MTV Video Music Award world for being able to shake different parts of her body and show her  ringless finger over and over.  There wasn’t a creative scene or story in the background or a large group of dancers doing tricks.

The three ladies simply sported leotards with heels while doing the same steps over and over and OVER again.

Beyonce, I applaud you.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect you Beyonce and Kanye.  You’ve given us multiple mainstream tunes to scream and dance to while we’re drunk at a party, bar, or club.

Next time you want to win a video award, make sure the choreography can’t be easily imitated by dancers and even non-dancers everywhere.  Just look it up on YouTube for yourself.

Be sure to check out this little girl. Oh things like this make me love dance even more.

Update: Glee even made fun of you, twice.  But hey you did still win Best Video of the Year. You win.

Update: Even a baby can do it.
